End of Summer Party

Well it’s finally the end of summer school here in Costa Rica and with regular school starting up again, we thought our volunteers and all of the kids deserved a day of fun before getting back to school.

We held a party at our Community Centre in El Cocal with over 40 children and parents attending. We played loads of games including limbo, pin the tail on the donkey, mask making as well as face painting. However, the highlight was defiantly the piñatas we made with the kids earlier in the week.  

The kids really had a great time and it was great to meet some more of the parents in the community as well as get a few more signups for our English and kinder program! 

We can't wait to start working with the teachers again in the school, they have been such a great support to the GVI program.We wish the kids of El Cocal a great start to their school year...
