Sorrowful Goodbyes

The end of another phase has come and gone. The morning of December 12th saw many a tearful face as the Expedition Members said their final farewells to the staff.

This has been an amazing phase, where the projects have gained international scientific acclaim during the Mesoamerican Conference on Conservation; built true and lasting links with the local community; and sighted more jaguars than you can shack a stick at.

The expedition is proud of the commitment given by our valuable volunteers. We look forward to being able to work again with many of the people who expressed an interest in returning to Caño Palma, you will be welcome!

It is also with great sorrow that we say a final farewell to Richard Phillips. He joined our fold as an EM back in April 2008. He showed great commitment and enthusiasm to conservation and stayed on for two internships. His work and friendship will be missed by all.
